Well, we are now sitting at Seattle Airport, waiting to board any minute.
We chose the express disembarkation option, which involves taking our own luggage as we get off the ship, at 0730. So up early, up to the breakfast buffet on deck 10, and then pick up the bags and head for the door on deck 4.
It's always a crap-shoot which deck we will be getting off. It depends on the height of the wharf, but more importantly on the tide. Other ports we have used both decks 2 and 3. Later in the day it could be 3 and 4 to get back on.
This was deck 4.
Just like getting on, the getting off process is messy. There should have been staff at the congregation point to tell us what was happening. Instead, there were just people milling about, and we eventually went out onto the deck and headed for the manned "swipe out" machines.
These machines are probably a godsend to the staff. Swipe out to leave the ship. Swipe in to re-board. Everybody. Staff and passengers. Great to see who is missing, very quickly.
Got to board now. Back online in a few hours, hopefully.
