Leaving Seville, we stop to visit the Troglodyte village. No, really, that’s what it’s called.
That’s because many houses in the village are built into the clay cliffs and hillsides.
Just before we arrived, we heard from the house we were visiting, that the local power company was doing maintenance work, meaning their part of town would have no power for the morning.
Regardless, we still went, and had a look around, thanks to the joys of cellphone flashlights.
This guy had bought and modified 3 houses, one above the other, into a 3-storied home. This created balconies with great views
Then on to Valencia.
Another tiki tour. Thankfully on the flat.
Another list of impressive buildings.
One little novelty:
The narrowest building facade in Europe.
This fellow is called La Estrecha, or The Narrow One. It measures 1.07m wide, and in case you doubt that, there’s a tape measure painted across the front to prove it.
Not long ago, they had this graphic with the hands, but they recently repainted it with the tape measure. I think I prefer the old one.
