Went to Madrid for lunch.
One of the most beautiful cities in Spain, and probably beyond.
Stopped at a place where they make jewelry and swords etc. Toledo is famous for not only intricately detailed work in gold and silver. It is also the go-to place for blade weapons, whether they are real, military or fantasy-themed.
Everywhere you turn, there’s a shop window selling Toledo made blades.

Apparently my eldest granddaughter has a fascination with swords and daggers. Whoever she ends up marrying will need to be warned.
In the evening, we went to a restaurant where the waiting staff stop regularly to sing an aria, or something less classical. One guy sang Nessus Dorma, which impressed the shit out of me. My favourite classical piece.
To be fair, vigorous operatic singing a foot away from diners can be hard on the audience too. Nobody warned the guy at the end that he would be in the splash zone.
