The airport is the airport. It’s Swiss, so it’s modern and efficient. But it’s the precinct that’s impressive. As I’ve said before, just across the road from arrivals is a building full of shops and a food court. It also has an airline checkin area downstairs, along with access to the train station.
It’s from this top level that I can walk to The Circle, where our hotel is. The mistake I made was following the signs from Arrivalls outside. As already discussed, this is fine for taking your hand luggage up the escalator, but not a trolley or two of bags.
So the trick is to go upstairs from arrivals, and the across a bridge above the road. Your then on the top floor, to walk across the bus road and tram line to enter The Circle.
What I did discover as I exited the bridge into the intermediate building, where some checkin kiosks. As I checked us in online within 24-hrs, I only needed bagtags. These little daleks were perfect for that, so we did that next morning, so all we had to find in the terminal was bagdrop. Easy Peasy.
I think I’ve mentioned this. There’s a shop in The Circle that sells micro cars. I probably showed you this picture, and told you the story about the original ones
Well, here’s the convertible version. Probably won’t get stuck, and it’s good for the tall dudes who don’t have hair to mess up.
Our last supper:
Unsurprisingly, Zurich is a big airport.
Our gate was a remote one, so the boarding area was busy.
What you’re seeing here is the flight number illuminated on the back of the bus. A good idea, and I haven’t seen it anywhere else.
We flew on Swiss to Prague. It’s an A220, with a 2-3 config.
You may have noticed the tiny screen at every row.
Here they are on our side.
Once again, great oncarriage info for passengers.
And with my fat hand for scale.
Speaking of tiny, your seat pocket is 2, each just big enough for a phone or a bottle.
