Coming to a close

We’re back in Barcelona, which marks the end of the second Spain tour for us. The first one from Barcelona to Madrid, this one from Madrid to Barcelona.

The tour hasn’t ended.

They’re out at the moment doing a famil tour, and a walk around Sagrada Familia. Done it.

Tomorrow they get to go to the Montserrat monastery. Done it.

Tomorrow night is a few drinks and a final dinner. We’ll catch up with them then, if not at breakfast in the mean time.

Don’t know if I mentioned, but we bought tickets to go inside Sagrada Familia, when we were here over 2 weeks ago. We’re going on Sunday. I think It’s going to be like visiting Dr Seuss’ house.

Some friends who were here a few months ago, had to pay through the nose for basically on-the-day entry. They warned us to buy in advance. So we did.

A couple of guys were talking on the bus today about buying themselves and their wives entry for this Sunday or Monday. The only way they could find it was taking like a 6-hr tour of Barcelona, that includes entry into the Sagrada. They’re talking around €150 per person.

Ours cost us about NZD104 for both of us. Good advice.

Almost forgot. Remember I talked about the East-West German pissing contest with TV towers?

This thing is called Torre Telefónica and was build for the ‘92 Barcelona Olympic Games

It’s a lot shorter, but it beats those pissy German one’s, for style if nothing else.

I’ll blog again once I’ve been inside the Seuss mansion.

We’re sticking around Barcelona for a few days before heading to Switzerland.

Hopefully we can find some elements that make it as fun as Madrid was.
