The manager gave a fascinating talk about the process, and the difference between grades of olive oil.
Well, fascinating to me, so there’s that.
The next day started with a visit to Maria Luísa Park, a suburb in Seville that was once a park surrounding the palace of Maria Luisa, the eldest daughter of the 2nd Duke of Seville.
For an expo in 1929, the park became a suburb of pavilions for all of the countries who attended. All of these architecturally diverse buildings now belong to the university.
We visited the biggest, which was the pavilion for Spain (obv).
Photos really can’t do it justice.
We then checked out the Alcázar Castle. One of its gardens may be recognised by the gamers in their mothers’ basements as the Water Gardens of Dorne in Game of Thrones.
Oh, and this was lunch.
My club sandwich may not be traditional Spanish cuisine, but I don’t eat critters that are looking back at me from the plate.
