After a nice breakfast, we checked out, and drove across the private bridge to Highclere.
We got to the car park about 0940, 10 minutes after it opened. There were a few cars already here.
The house doesn’t open till 1030, so we had a wander around the house, and spent a while in the obligatory gift shop.
When the house opened, there is no photography allowed, so the phone stayed in the pocket. Sarah rates this as 2nd equal with Althorp in her favourites list.
A nice touch was that when you entered a room, there was a photograph of the room being used in filming.
