Newport

Took a look at another historic house this morning. Called the Otis House, it was built by the posh Otis family. We had to put on little paper booties over our shoes. Felt like I was going into an operating theatre.

After that we took a train to a little town up the coast called Rockport.

Lots of cute little crafty shops as we head down the pier to the view.

Had lunch at a nice wee restaurant called "My Place By The Sea". Literally on the end of the pier, with nice sea views.

On the way back, Sarah found a tote bag that perfectly fit a hole in her tote collection.

Some very nice houses in this areas.

By the way, saw a couple more church spires. They are really into spires in this part of the country. I notice many shopping centres with spires, some with lanterns hanging up there. Very Boston.

By the way, the trains in Boston (longer like we took today, not the subway) all have wifi. Cool.

Actually, every carriage has its own hotspot. When I was sitting on the train waiting to leave the station, I was picking up squillions of hotspots to choose from. Very good idea for the corporate types travelling to their flash houses out of town.
